Captain

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned, professional Captain to join a luxury fine dining establishment in Dubai. The ideal candidate will expertly manage an assigned section and deliver outstanding dining experiences characterized by warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Primary Responsibilities

• Extend a courteous and professional greeting and service to all guests.
• Accurately record food and beverage orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation, allergens, pricing, and promotions.
• Confidently describe menu options and suggest pairings or offerings to enhance guest experience.
• Implement strategic upselling techniques to boost revenue.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper setup of tables throughout the shift.
• Oversee the designated section with full accountability during working hours.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and monitor their satisfaction.
• Manage food and drink service timings and address any delays.
• Pay special attention to VIP patrons, special occasions, allergy concerns, and dietary restrictions.
• Collaborate effectively with the kitchen brigade, bar, reception, cashier, and team members.
• Handle minor guest complaints tactfully and escalate significant issues to management.
• Ensure accuracy of billing, orders, discounts, and payment processing.
• Uphold cleanliness, hygiene, and organization within the assigned area.
• Perform all opening, closing, and handover procedures diligently.
• Adhere strictly to all restaurant policies regarding service standards, grooming, uniform, and conduct.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven waiter/captain experience within upscale or luxury hospitality settings.
• Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic is favorable.
• Exceptional communication capabilities paired with strong guest service orientation.
• Thorough knowledge of menu items with demonstrated upselling expertise.
• Maintains a professional appearance and excellent hygiene standards.
• Possesses a positive mindset and thrives in collaborative team environments.
• Capable of working efficiently under pressure during peak service periods.
• Exhibits responsibility, punctuality, organization, and attention to detail.
• Dedicated to consistently delivering superior service quality.

Compensation Package

• Starting monthly remuneration from AED 4000.
