Role Overview

As a key leader within Capital Oversight, reporting to the Head of Capital Oversight, you will lead a team comprising Project Accountants and Capital Reporting specialists. Your role centers on delivering financial stewardship, performance reporting, and strategic insights across a diverse, multi-billion-dollar capital portfolio spanning ten years. You will establish a reliable "single source of truth" for capital project data, equipping leadership with precise, timely, and meaningful financial information to guide investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and lead capital reporting and project accounting teams.
• Integrate cost, schedule, funding, and delivery data into comprehensive reports.
• Provide assurance and critically evaluate forecasts, completion estimates, and financial outcomes.
• Prepare executive, Board, and governance reports to facilitate effective decision-making.
• Enhance reporting processes through automation and advanced performance analytics.
• Support rollout and optimization of new program management and reporting tools.
• Build and nurture a high-performing team focused on financial rigor, data quality, and ongoing improvement.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, or equivalent.
• Extensive leadership experience in capital project accounting, financial control, project finance, or performance reporting.
• Background in infrastructure, utilities, construction, or asset-intensive sectors.
• Strong skills in forecasting, financial management, governance, and capital project reporting.
• Proven success in leading and developing impactful teams.
• Ability to analyze intricate financial and operational data and distill into clear insights.
• Experience managing large capital programs, portfolios, or significant investment projects.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing abilities, particularly with senior and governance bodies.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in reporting using data-driven decision-making.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced reporting tools.
