Capability & Intelligence Professionals

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced professionals with an active NV1, NV2, or TSPV security clearance, or Australian citizens eligible for clearance, to join CGI's growing Space, Defence & Intelligence business based in Canberra or Adelaide. This is an Expression of Interest to build a pipeline of talent supporting current and future Defence, National Security, and Federal Government programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support capability development and planning initiatives.
• Conduct operational planning and mission analysis activities.
• Provide intelligence analysis and decision support.
• Perform operational research and analytical studies.
• Develop concepts including CONOPS and CONEMP.
• Engage in wargaming, experimentation, and force design.
• Contribute to strategic planning and policy formulation.
• Oversee capability integration and ensure operational readiness.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Defence, National Security agencies, and industry partners.
• Support delivery of major capability, transformation, and national security projects.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should have demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following domains:

• Capability development, management, and planning.
• Operational planning and analysis.
• Intelligence analysis and mission planning.
• Operational research methodologies.
• Wargaming and experimentation techniques.
• Force design and CONOPS/CONEMP development.
• Strategic planning and defence policy.
• Requirements development and joint operations.
• Consulting within Defence or National Security.

We welcome applicants ranging from early-career engineers to senior technical leaders. Highly valued are individuals with experience in Australian Defence Force, Defence APS, National Intelligence Community, or related National Security agencies, particularly those who have supported Defence capability projects, operational planning or strategic decisions and are adept at navigating complex government and industry stakeholder environments. Strong analytical abilities, effective communication, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, along with a proven record of translating operational needs into tangible capability outcomes.
