About the Role

As a Cake Decorator, you will enhance the member experience by delivering high-quality bakery products that exceed expectations. Collaborating with fellow associates, you will ensure the bakery area supports the overall club's standards and satisfies customer demands effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to educate and guide associates on tools, resources, and customer service skills.
  • Manage bakery production planning to maintain consistent quality and precise decorative designs, using techniques such as piping with bags, tips, and nozzles.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, cold chain compliance, and inventory control procedures rigorously.
  • Operate and maintain bakery equipment, ensuring cleanliness and optimal performance.
  • Utilize digital tools and handheld technology for sales enhancement, ordering, training, and quality management, encouraging team adoption.
  • Drive bakery area performance by managing quality standards, reducing waste, and preparing for seasonal volume changes.
  • Assist members with product selections, resolve inquiries, and identify customer needs.
  • Act as a brand ambassador by promoting high service and product quality, mentoring associates, and fostering a respectful team environment.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies, ethical standards, and open-door communication channels.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively, communicate progress, and seek continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Promote diversity, inclusivity, and a culture of belonging, strengthening team cohesion and performance.
  • Maintain personal and professional integrity by upholding company values and environmental commitments.
  • Make informed decisions balancing immediate and long-term goals, always focusing on customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 6 months experience in a fresh production setting.
  • Must be 18 years or older.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience specifically in cake decorating is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly wage range from $19 to $27, meeting or exceeding local minimum wage laws.
  • Additional premiums ranging between $0.35 and $3.00 per hour depending on schedule, location, season, or type of work.
