About the Role
As a Cafe Team Member, you will be integral to delivering an outstanding customer experience every day by combining food preparation, customer interaction, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in a lively café setting. Your role involves preparing and serving menu items, ensuring all hygiene and safety standards are met, and supporting the smooth operation of the café environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Serving customers efficiently and courteously to provide a positive experience.
- Adhering to food safety guidelines and hygiene standards, including keeping daily records.
- Implementing FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation practices to ensure food freshness.
- Receiving deliveries and safely storing food supplies.
- Following all operational policies and procedures accurately.
- Preparing, cooking, and serving food items according to the café's menu standards.
- Ensuring food products are consistently available and meet quality standards.
- Having thorough knowledge of the café’s menu and serving food correctly as intended.
- Handling customer complaints appropriately and escalating issues to the Café Manager.
- Keeping up to date with company communications and new initiatives.
- Cleaning and sanitising tables to maintain a hygienic café environment.
Requirements
