We are seeking an experienced C++ Strategy Developer to join our Trading Technology team based in Dublin. This role involves designing, developing, and enhancing high-frequency trading systems that handle massive real-time data streams. By working closely with skilled technologists and quantitative analysts, you will gain in-depth insight into the technology and logic behind automated market decision-making. Although experience in trading is advantageous, it is not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Create and enhance low-latency, high-throughput trading applications using up-to-date C++ standards within real-time environments.
• Collaborate effectively with quantitative researchers and development teams to implement and improve trading strategies.
• Develop and fine-tune systems to ensure superior performance, reliability, and scalability amid competitive trading operations.
• Identify, optimize, and resolve infrastructure issues related to latency, throughput, and system bottlenecks.
• Manage the complete software development life cycle, from conception through deployment, while influencing long-term architecture and tooling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Proven professional experience in building performance-critical applications using modern C++ (versions 11, 14, 17, or 20).
• Expertise in multi-threading, memory management, inter-process communication (IPC), Standard Template Library (STL), Boost libraries, and network/socket programming.
• Comprehensive understanding of performance tuning, profiling, and optimization techniques.
• Prior exposure to designing systems for high-performance real-time environments; experience in trading or finance is beneficial but not essential.
• A strong passion for tackling challenging technical problems, rapid iteration, and producing clean, maintainable software.
