Job description
About Notion
Notion is a collaborative AI-driven workspace designed to bring teams and agents together, blending knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools into a single platform to enhance productivity and clarity. Used globally by individuals and companies of all sizes, Notion aims to revolutionize how people work, emphasizing quality, longevity, and the human element in workplace collaboration.
Role Overview
This position is central to Notion's new go-to-market strategy focused on workflow-first, builder-led engagement. As a Business Development Representative, you will initiate and qualify meaningful conversations with targeted companies in the Benelux region, supporting Solutions Consultants by ensuring potential customers are ready and suited to shift how they work through Notion's products. The role is based in Dublin, Ireland, with in-office work on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays to foster team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate high-quality, workflow-centric sales opportunities by targeting accounts with high potential and collaborating on outbound approaches.
- Execute multi-channel outreach campaigns using email, phone, LinkedIn, and events to drive urgency and secure meetings with decision-makers.
- Conduct thorough qualification of leads to confirm alignment with Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), buyer intent, and workflow compatibility before handing off to sales consultants.
- Provide detailed handoff documentation in Salesforce, including ICP indicators, pain points, workflow hypotheses, and stakeholder context to enable a smooth transition.
- Utilize GTM (Go-To-Market) systems and intent data to refine targeting efforts, prioritize accounts, and enhance outbound campaign effectiveness.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated success in outbound pipeline creation, with expertise in cold outreach via phone, email, and social media.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of developing engaging, persona-specific messages that prompt responses.
- Acute ability to quickly evaluate ICP fit, identify urgency, and prepare sellers for productive initial discussions.
- Interest and general knowledge in AI/ML technologies, with an understanding of API-first or usage-based business models.
- A focused and data-driven approach to prioritize activities based on signal strength rather than volume alone.
- Curiosity and willingness to adopt AI tools to improve productivity, although deep AI expertise is not mandatory.
- Fluency in Dutch is required for this role.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Outreach, or similar sales engagement platforms.
- Prior exposure to Notion's product or experience in selling software focused on productivity, collaboration, or workflow optimization.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven outbound sales environment with clear pipeline goals.
Compensation and Commitment
Notion offers competitive remuneration including salary, equity, and benefits. The estimated total earnings including incentives for this role are approximately €70,000 annually, though exact compensation depends on location, role complexity, and candidate qualifications.
Equal Opportunity and Accessibility
Notion embraces diversity and inclusion, encouraging all qualified candidates to apply irrespective of background or any legally protected characteristic. The company also provides reasonable accommodations during the hiring process for applicants with disabilities.
Additional Information
Applicants should be comfortable working from the Dublin office on designated days to benefit from team collaboration. The role demands a high-activity mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a readiness to engage with AI as a collaborative tool to enhance work outputs.
