Role Overview
As a Business Development Representative, you will play a crucial role within the sales team, tasked with creating a robust pipeline through targeted outbound prospecting. Collaborating closely with UK Account Executives, you will research and connect with prospective clients, qualify leads using established methodologies, and ensure a seamless transition of promising opportunities for further advancement.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct personalized LinkedIn outreach campaigns targeting senior technical leaders such as CTOs and Heads of Engineering.
- Build and qualify a strong sales pipeline by identifying ideal customer profiles and securing qualified meetings for the UK team.
- Partner with UK Account Executives to align on account strategies and messaging, ensuring effective handoff of qualified prospects.
- Qualify prospects initially using MEDDPICC framework to identify genuine business needs prior to escalation.
- Consistently meet or exceed daily activity and engagement targets, managing outbound efforts across platforms like HubSpot, HeyReach, Smartlead, and Clay/Apollo.
- Regularly test and optimize outbound messaging to boost response and conversion rates.
Key Qualifications
- Experience in staffing industry, especially in staff augmentation, tech talent-as-a-service, IT staffing, or technology recruitment.
- Demonstrated success working with UK and/or US clients with a thorough understanding of their buying and commercial practices.
- Proven outbound sales or business development skills emphasizing long-term client relationships over one-time deals.
- Experienced in engaging senior technical decision-makers via LinkedIn-based prospecting.
- Strong knowledge of the staffing and talent marketplace including buyer challenges and decision-making cues.
- Excellent written English skills, with a preference for personalized, quality communication rather than mass messaging.
- Highly organized with the ability to handle high volumes of prospecting activities while maintaining quality.
- Self-driven, resilient and target-oriented, capable of working UK business hours and collaborating with a UK-based team.
