Role Overview
This dynamic Business Development Manager role is a hunter position focused on promoting Experian's advanced data management and data quality products in the Victoria portfolio. You will engage in both small-scale deals like data cleansing and complex tailored solutions involving proprietary technologies and expert consulting. Responsibilities include managing new and existing client relationships across multiple sectors such as retail, local government, tourism, automotive, charity, and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire new business opportunities within current customer accounts and by securing new clients.
- Operate independently with a high level of autonomy.
- Proactively identify and engage new contacts in existing and new accounts.
- Maintain a consistent weekly work rhythm to meet performance goals.
- Represent and advocate Experian’s corporate values.
Candidate Profile
- Confident individual with strong motivation to deliver outstanding sales results.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in lead generation and client meetings, with or without technical presales support.
- Proven track record in securing business and closing deals in a sales or business development role.
- Strong curiosity and capability in needs analysis to uncover customer challenges and opportunities.
Qualifications
Relevant sales/business development experience with a focus on customer engagement and opportunity closure.
