We are launching a strategic growth initiative and are seeking an energetic Business Development Director to spearhead expansion in the data centre industry. This position plays a crucial role in increasing revenue, nurturing client partnerships, and establishing PM Group as a trusted leader within the fast-developing data centre market.
This role can be based at any PM Group office in Ireland, United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, Poland, or the Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities in the data centre sector.
- Formulate and implement business development strategies that drive revenue growth and expand market share.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key industry stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and project teams to create customized solutions aligned with client needs.
- Lead commercial activities including bid preparation, tender submission, and contract negotiation.
- Deliver impactful presentations and proposals to potential clients.
- Conduct ongoing market research to track industry trends, competitor movements, and emerging technologies.
- Represent PM Group at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is required.
- Proven success in business development within the data centre, engineering consultancy, or construction industries.
- Established network within the European data centre sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of data centre design, construction, and operational requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Track record of consistently achieving sales targets and driving business expansion.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
