Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Job Overview

We are urgently seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to contribute expertise across various critical projects based in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical aspects of multiple projects within a multidisciplinary team.
• Evaluate and resolve complex engineering challenges efficiently.
• Assist with fee and capital budget proposal preparations as necessary.
• Prepare and manage electrical documentation for bids, approvals, and construction stages using efficient and streamlined processes.
• Supervise junior electrical engineering staff when required.
• Review and verify the accuracy and quality of electrical engineers' work through peer assessments.
• Engage extensively and independently with clients, vendors, and site personnel.
• Participate in meetings with clients and internal project management teams.
• Lead or partake in site visits to oversee, inspect, and approve electrical installation work.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in engineering design.
• Extensive proficiency with a broad spectrum of electrical engineering design services including MV/LV power distribution, generators, UPS, lighting systems, vertical transport, small power, voice/data networks, cable containment, fire alarms, security, lightning protection, earthing/bonding, hazardous area installations, and specialized control systems.
• Comprehensive understanding of electrical engineering codes, standards, and industry best practices.
• Business awareness with capability to perform value engineering and apply innovative technologies to offer cost-efficient solutions for clients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to draft specifications and contractual documents.
• Strong commitment to ethical practices concerning safety, quality, environmental stewardship, and corporate responsibility.
