Bus Driver

About the Role

We are seeking a responsible bus driver to ensure the safe transportation of passengers along assigned routes, which may include school zones or long-distance journeys. This position demands adherence to traffic regulations, performing vehicle inspections, managing fare collection, aiding passengers, and keeping the vehicle tidy.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out thorough safety checks of the vehicle before and after each trip to ensure roadworthiness.
• Drive the bus on specified routes punctually and safely while following traffic laws and company schedules.
• Handle fare collection through cash, tickets, or pass validation accurately and efficiently.
• Provide assistance to passengers when boarding or alighting, including support for those with mobility or accessibility needs.
• Use communication devices such as radios or mobile phones to update dispatch about any delays, traffic issues, or emergencies.
• Immediately report occurrences like accidents, mechanical problems, or incidents involving passenger safety.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Possess a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with an endorsement for passenger transport.
• Maintain a clean driving history free from major violations or excessive penalty points.
• Successfully pass routine medical evaluations and background checks, including drug screenings.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service.
• Be available to work varied hours, which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation

Monthly salary ranges from INR 22,000 to INR 30,000.
