About the Role
As a Build and Release Engineer specializing in Teamcenter PLM DevOps, you will be instrumental in designing and automating Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for Siemens Teamcenter environments. This role demands a proactive, technically adept individual with a solid foundation in Teamcenter systems combined with extensive DevOps automation skills. Your efforts will enhance the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of PLM software delivery processes across varied deployment environments, ensuring standardization of release methodologies within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and automate CI/CD frameworks tailored for Siemens Teamcenter deployments.
- Manage and maintain multiple Teamcenter environments including Development, QA, UAT, and Production.
- Standardize release processes and promote best practices across teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve build, deployment, pipeline, and Teamcenter environment configuration challenges.
Mandatory Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in IT, PLM, or DevOps fields.
- At least 1 year of hands-on technical experience specifically with Siemens Teamcenter deployment and administration.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD automation, build automation, or deployment automation.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD.
- Strong scripting skills using Shell, Batch, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or YAML for build and deployment automation.
- Experience with source control (Git), artifact repositories like JFrog Artifactory, Nexus, or Azure Artifacts, and versioned artifact management.
- Deep understanding of Teamcenter components including BMIDE templates, ITK and SOA customizations, Active Workspace, workflows, and access control configuration.
- Knowledge of environment parameterization, configuration management, automated testing, and security within CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
