About the Company
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts' Raffles & Fairmont The Red Sea is part of the pioneering Red Sea Project in Saudi Arabia. The resort features 361 rooms, eleven unique dining venues including an overwater restaurant overlooking the Red Sea and mangroves, a spa, and proximity to an 18-hole championship golf course. This destination is set on 200 km of pristine coastline, with over 90 unspoiled islands, dormant volcanoes, rich marine ecosystems, and ancient archaeological landmarks, exemplifying world-class sustainability and luxury.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Ensure flawless transportation logistics by ferrying guests comfortably among villas, dining spots, and other resort locations using electric buggies.
- Provide personalized and anticipatory guest interactions, sharing engaging stories and information about the resort, local culture, and attractions.
- Operate vehicles responsibly, observing resort speed limits, pedestrian safety rules, and Saudi Arabian driving laws.
- Perform daily inspections before shifts, checking battery status, tire condition, and cleanliness to maintain vehicles at optimal standards.
- Handle guest luggage with professional care during loading and unloading processes.
- Coordinate closely with Front Office and Concierge teams to schedule timely guest pick-ups and drop-offs.
- Support the resort's sustainability goals by managing electric buggy charging efficiently and reporting mechanical faults that could impact energy usage.
- Consistently present a polished appearance and uphold Fairmont's standards of guest service excellence.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Educational background: High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality degree is a plus.
- Experience: At least 1 to 2 years in a guest-facing position within luxury hospitality.
- Licenses: Valid driving license issued in Saudi Arabia.
- Language skills: Proficiency in English; Arabic or other languages beneficial for international guests.
- Attributes: Creative problem-solving, passion for guest relations, attention to detail.
- Physical ability: Capable of working outdoors in varying weather and assisting with heavy luggage as necessary.
- Prior experience in luxury guest expectations and brand cultures, including pre-opening project coordination, scheduling, and documentation control, is essential.
- Strong ownership and accountability mindset, proactive and anticipatory approach.
- Adherence to luxury grooming and appearance standards.
