About the Role
An exceptional opportunity exists for an experienced Program Director to lead a significant new rail infrastructure initiative. This senior leadership role involves steering project delivery alongside an international team of skilled professionals. The position is long-term and pivotal to the successful realization of a major transportation infrastructure programme in Dubai.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction throughout the duration of the project.
- Oversee the execution and completion of major rail infrastructure construction works.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams, including consultants and contractors, coordinating efforts effectively.
- Manage all aspects of the programme, including budget, risk management, quality assurance, and overall performance metrics.
- Facilitate efficient collaboration between joint venture partners, clients, project management consultants, and delivery teams.
- Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, technical standards, safety protocols, and quality benchmarks.
- Deliver senior-level reporting and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Identify complex challenges and risks, implementing solutions to ensure smooth project progression.
- Oversee the integration of tunnelling operations with broader rail infrastructure works for cohesive outcomes.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Extensive background in major rail infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated leadership at Project Director, Programme Director, or equivalent senior project roles.
- Proven track record in managing high-value, complex rail programmes.
- Desirable experience in tunnelling operations.
- Familiarity with multidisciplinary infrastructure project dynamics.
- Strong knowledge of project controls, program management methodologies, commercial delivery principles, and risk mitigation.
- Excellent leadership capabilities, communication proficiency, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working on international projects is a plus.
- A minimum of 25 years of industry experience with verifiable success in major rail or transport infrastructure projects.
- Experience within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region is highly desirable.
