Breakfast Cook

Position Overview

The Breakfast Cook will be responsible for preparing ingredients including portioning, chopping, and storing, as well as cooking and presenting food according to established recipes and quality standards. Daily tasks include washing and peeling fruits and vegetables, measuring and mixing ingredients, preparing hot and cold foods, and operating kitchen equipment like ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items following recipes and quality guidelines
• Operate kitchen appliances safely and test food for appropriate cooking
• Monitor food quality throughout preparation
• Set up and break down workstations effectively
• Serve food in correct portion sizes onto appropriate containers
• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, tools, knives, and equipment
• Check temperatures of appliances and food to ensure food safety
• Comply with company policies on safety, security, and personal appearance
• Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management
• Maintain professionalism in communication and foster positive team relationships
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended durations during shifts; perform bending, lifting (up to 25 pounds), and other physical tasks
• Perform additional duties as directed by supervisors

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

Candidates should hold a high school diploma or equivalent and possess at least one year of related work experience. Food Handler's Certification is required. Weekend availability and willingness to work day shifts are preferred. No supervisory experience is necessary.
