About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated full-time Cook to join our team in Carman, Manitoba. This position offers a starting salary of $16.40 per hour with a schedule to be confirmed. The Cook will prepare food following corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations to consistently deliver quality food service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, pre-cook, and cook a variety of food items as directed.
  • Organize mise en place, including setting up foods, garnishes, sauces, dishes, and cutlery, to support high-volume food production.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment after use, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Label, date, store, and rotate food and beverage items appropriately in storage areas.
  • Communicate efficiently with various operational departments to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Report maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or any accidents to the supervisor immediately.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support kitchen functions.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a cook, including roles in restaurant cooking or food preparation.
  • Valid Food Safety Certification is mandatory.
  • Diploma or certificate from a recognized culinary school.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, kitchen equipment, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and speed in task execution.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard best practices.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Physical capability to fulfill the job responsibilities.
