Job Summary

Prepare meals complying with company standards, guidelines, and regulatory requirements while following established procedures. Deliver quality food service consistently.

Key Responsibilities

• Work hours from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM EST.
• Prepare, pre-cook, or cook assigned food items as directed.
• Perform mise en place, organizing foods, garnishes, sauces, dishes, and utensils to support high-volume food production.
• Clean kitchen equipment after use in accordance with safety and hygiene policies.
• Label, date, store, and rotate food and beverages properly in designated storage.
• Maintain clear communication with relevant operational departments.
• Report any equipment issues, accidents, or maintenance needs promptly to supervisors.
• Carry out other requested duties as assigned.

Candidate Qualifications

• Availability to work early mornings from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM EST.
• Proven experience cooking, including roles as restaurant cook or prep cook.
• Possession of Food Safety Certification.
• Strong knowledge of diverse cooking methods, ingredients, kitchen equipment, and culinary procedures.
• Ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Familiarity with best practices in the food industry.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical capability to perform role duties.

Compensation

The role pays an hourly wage of 17.95 CAD, with exact salary reflecting skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Compliance with pay transparency laws is ensured. Canadian work experience is not mandatory.
