Role Overview

We seek a BIM Coordinator specialized in civil and infrastructure model coordination to join our Dubai site office. This role encompasses comprehensive management of BIM models related to earthworks, corridors, alignments, pavement structures, wet/dry utilities, utility corridors, airfield ground lighting, landscaping, external works, and survey/datum controls. The incumbent will be responsible for verifying discipline models, integrating them into federated models, conducting clash and audit checks, supporting quantity take-off, and facilitating 4D/5D project workflows. Effective communication with engineering, construction, and client teams to address coordination issues is essential. Mastery of ISO 19650 standards, BIM Execution Plan (BEP) adherence, Common Data Environment (CDE) processes, Level of Detail (LOD)/Level of Information (LOI) requirements, shared coordinate systems, linked model management, and model-based documentation is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and validate infrastructure BIM models ensuring readiness for federation and review meetings, clash detection, and data exchange protocols.
• Oversee civil and infrastructure models including earthworks, alignments, pavement build-ups, utilities, utility corridors, chambers, manholes, external works, and landscaping components.
• Conduct detailed reviews of Civil 3D elements such as corridors, surfaces, profiles, pipe and pressure networks, grading, utility crossings, airfield lighting interfaces, and external services coordination.
• Confirm accuracy of survey controls, interface points, clearance envelopes, clash results, and infrastructure quantity derivations from models.
• Coordinate integration of external infrastructure such as buildings, substations, MEP plants, fire and drainage networks, chilled and potable water systems, power and telecom ducts, roads, and landscaping elements.
• Execute model audits for checking Level of Detail/Information, adherence to naming conventions, worksets, coordinate systems, linked models, parameters, view templates, sheet setups, and data completeness.
• Generate and review clash detection reports, coordination documentation, issue logs, and model status using Navisworks Manage, ACC/BIM 360, ACONEX, among other platforms.
• Assist in 4D and 5D project workflows including sequencing and quantity extraction, as well as structured asset data management.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams and project managers to identify and resolve modeling inconsistencies, document risks, and close technical queries.
• Maintain compliance with ISO 19650-aligned CDE workflows including rigorous control over information container naming, revision procedures, and transmittals.
• Facilitate Revit family reviews, model cleanups, linked model oversight, shared coordinate management, model breakdowns, and discipline template compliance.
• Drive BIM automation and quality assurance enhancements through scripting (e.g., Dynamo), schedules, model checking routines, and repeated coordination procedures.
• Prepare and contribute inputs for BIM coordination meetings, technical workshops, client presentations, and internal management updates.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a bachelor's degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Technology, Digital Engineering, or an allied field.
• Accumulate at least 8 years of BIM experience, including a minimum of 4 years in the role of BIM Coordinator on sizable projects in buildings, infrastructure, transportation, aviation, or industrial sectors.
• Demonstrate deep expertise in civil and infrastructure BIM coordination specifically handling earthworks, corridors, alignments, pavement build-ups, utilities (wet and dry), utility corridors, airfield ground lighting, landscaping, external works, and survey/datum control.
• Exhibit strong proficiency with Civil 3D software, managing surfaces, corridors, alignments, profiles, pipe networks, grading models, data shortcuts, external references, and integrating infrastructure models.
• Have a clear understanding of utilities coordination covering invert and cover levels, road and pavement geometry, earthworks, service interfaces including airfield ground lighting, survey controls, and sequencing of external works.
• Experience coordinating infrastructure models alongside buildings, MEP services, utility authority requirements, site survey data, and construction phasing is mandatory.
• Well-versed in ISO 19650 standards, BIM Execution Plans, Master and Task Information Delivery Plans (MIDP/TIDP), CDE workflows, model status codes, clash reporting, and quality assurance methods.
• Proficient in key software including Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks Manage, ACC/BIM 360, ACONEX, AutoCAD, InfraWorks, and associated QA tools.
• Familiarity with federated model coordination, clash detection systems, working with LOD 400/500 workflows, linked models, worksets, Revit family management, and model data validation processes.
• Ability to facilitate advanced workflows such as 4D simulations, 5D quantity take-offs, and asset information and 7D data structuring under BIM management guidance.
• Exhibit excellent coordination, communication, presentation, technical reporting, and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
• Prior experience in aviation, airports, transportation, Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO), heavy industrial, or significant multidisciplinary building projects is advantageous.
• Knowledge of airside infrastructure, utility authority coordination, point cloud data, survey datasets, and external infrastructure networks is considered an asset.
