Role Overview
This full-time, permanent position based in Invercargill offers an exciting opportunity to lead the bid process from start to finish. The successful candidate will construct winning proposals by integrating financials, narrative, and strategic insight, ensuring submissions present SouthRoads as the preferred choice.
Key Responsibilities
- Create tender responses that are engaging and clearly distinguish SouthRoads from competitors.
- Manage multiple bidding projects concurrently, effectively balancing deadlines and priorities while maintaining a positive approach.
- Work closely with estimating, operations, and commercial teams to develop accurate pricing, assess risks, and ensure compliance.
- Act as SouthRoads’ representative in client communications through bid submissions and negotiations.
- Review and analyze previous bid outcomes to improve future success rates.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience handling multiple bids with overlapping deadlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills capable of transforming technical proposals into compelling narratives.
- Strategic mindset with capability to identify promising opportunities and develop strong bid strategies.
- Confident negotiator with the ability to secure favorable terms while fostering positive client relations.
- In-depth knowledge of the civil construction industry including market dynamics, regulatory environment, and competitor landscape.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI) and desirable familiarity with estimation software.
- Strong commercial awareness and financial understanding.
