About the Role

Signet Jewelers, the world’s premier specialty retailer of diamond jewelry, invites both novices and experienced jewelers to join our dynamic Field Design & Service Center Team located in Lafayette, LA. This opportunity offers a clear career pathway, starting from Apprentice roles involving clerical duties and jewelry polishing, advancing towards skilled Bench Jeweler positions. Key Responsibilities

• Execute chain and clasp repairs
• Retip prongs to secure stones
• Set stones with precision
• Create mountings for stones
• Perform channel and platinum rebuilds
• Carry out minor ring and general jewelry repairs
• Engage in wax carving and fabrication
• Participate in casting processes
• Design and craft custom jewelry pieces
• Utilize CAD/CAM technology for design work

Candidate Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not mandatory
• Between 1 to 3 years of bench jeweler or related experience working with fine metals
• Successful completion of a bench test evaluating jeweler skill level
• Strong organizational abilities and keen attention to detail
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality workmanship
• Basic proficiency with computer systems
• Willingness to work varied hours including some nights and weekends
• Availability for a 40-hour full-time schedule plus seasonal overtime as needed
