YDS Design Studio is a premier interior design firm based in Dubai, renowned for its luxurious residential, hospitality, and commercial projects. They are expanding their team and seeking a meticulous and creative FF&E Designer.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop cohesive FF&E concepts including furniture choices and styling that complement the overarching design vision.
• Source a variety of furnishings and decorative items such as furniture, lighting, rugs, artwork, and accessories from both regional and global vendors.
• Compile detailed FF&E schedules, precise specifications, and furniture layouts, along with all necessary procurement documents.
• Design polished presentations, mood boards, and material selection boards for client and internal use.
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to gather quotations, obtain samples, verify technical specifications, and understand delivery timelines.
• Oversee FF&E budget management to ensure selections align with project goals and client expectations.
• Coordinate the design and production of custom furniture including the creation and review of shop drawings and finish details with manufacturers.
• Collaborate closely with interior design and visualization teams to ensure FF&E choices are properly implemented in renderings and presentations.
• Manage procurement activities, monitor delivery and installation processes, and apply final styling to achieve project completion standards.
• Maintain and continuously update a comprehensive database of high-end furniture brands, suppliers, and decorative accessory contacts.

Candidate Requirements

• Between 5 to 7 years of solid experience in FF&E design, furniture selection, and procurement roles.
• Demonstrated expertise handling luxury residential and hospitality design projects.
• Profound understanding of international luxury furniture brands, finishes, lighting, textiles, and decorative items.
• Established and active relationships with furniture vendors and manufacturers both within the UAE and globally.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong presentation capabilities and a keen sense of furniture proportions, materials, and overall design aesthetic.
• Capability to independently manage multiple projects, budgets, and procurement timelines.
• Excellent communication, organizational skills, and ability to coordinate effectively with suppliers.
• Prior experience in a luxury-focused interior design studio in Dubai is advantageous.
