Bellman

Position Overview

The Bellman serves as a vital member of the guest services team, welcoming and escorting guests to their rooms while providing assistance throughout their stay at The Luxury Collection in Singapore. This role includes opening doors, helping guests enter and exit the property, and familiarizing them with hotel amenities and local attractions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet and accompany guests to their rooms.
• Open doors and assist guests/visitors when entering or leaving the premises.
• Inform guests about the hotel's services, operating hours, and nearby points of interest.
• Explain room features including use of keys, minibar, ice and vending locations, safes, and laundry services.
• Transport luggage between guest rooms and bell area; manage luggage storage and retrieval.
• Assist guests in boarding and alighting vehicles, including help with luggage loading and unloading.
• Provide directions and arrange transportation options such as taxis, shuttles, or private car services.
• Communicate parking guidelines to guests and visitors.
• Adhere to all company policies and report workplace accidents or safety issues promptly.
• Remain vigilant about unauthorized individuals on the property.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uphold confidentiality.
• Offer courteous and proactive guest service, including assistance for guests with disabilities.
• Employ clear and professional communication, both in person and on telephone calls.
• Foster positive relationships with coworkers and comply with quality assurance standards.
• Perform physical activities such as moving, lifting (up to 50 pounds unassisted, heavier with help), walking, running, and bending as required during shifts.
• Carry out additional related duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior related work or supervisory experience required.
• No licenses or certifications are necessary.
