Role Overview
In the role of BAS Accountant, you will aid clients in achieving steady business growth by pinpointing key challenges and helping develop practical solutions. The position offers exposure to external reporting, management accounting, and taxation, while fostering strong technical skills and trusted client relationships. Collaboration will be frequent with Managers, Associates, and Partners to create client-specific solutions across multiple industries and business stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile financial statements adhering to relevant accounting standards.
- Support external reporting duties including preparation of workpapers, planning jobs, and managing timelines.
- Generate management reports, reconciliations, budget forecasts, and cash flow statements.
- Handle tax compliance tasks such as income tax, GST, PAYE, and FBT and assist in tax planning.
- Identify client concerns and contribute to developing effective financial and business solutions.
- Assist with trust administration, Companies Office tasks, and utilize accounting software such as AO, Xero, and MYOB.
Experience & Requirements
- Between 1 to 2 years of experience in Business Advisory or comparable accounting roles.
- High attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills.
- Growing expertise in analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
