About the Role
The position is based at Royal Livingstone Resort By Anantara, a prestigious luxury hotel brand inspired by Thai culture, emphasizing authentic hospitality and a memorable guest experience. The brand has expanded globally since its founding in 2001 in Thailand, focusing on unique, meaningful journeys for guests and employees alike.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee seamless, profitable operations of all bars, banquet beverage services, and the Lobby Lounge within the hotel setting.
- Increase revenue by boosting sales while managing costs efficiently.
- Provide input on the Beverage and Wine list to ensure a distinctive and appealing selection that aligns with hotel standards.
- Remain knowledgeable about Anantara Guest Incentive programs and promotions to enhance guest satisfaction and sales.
- Implement and maintain inventory control, requisition processes, bar pars, and security systems for all beverage areas to ensure cost control.
- Engage actively in departmental training initiatives, delivering training sessions as needed, and establishing a daily training routine.
- Uphold safety and sanitation standards across all outlets consistently.
- Conduct monthly inspections using Anantara’s Sanitation Checklist to maintain bar service area hygiene.
- Manage assets related to the outlet’s property and facilities responsibly.
- Foster positive communication and cooperative relations with other departments.
- Support banquet operations by coordinating with the Banqueting Department for requested functions.
- Lead by example by adopting a hands-on leadership style to inspire team members to excel.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- At least two years of bartending experience in hotels, resorts, bars, or restaurants.
- Completion of Grade 12 schooling is mandatory.
- Comprehensive knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Excellent customer service abilities coupled with strong communication skills.
- Capability to maintain attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with responsible alcohol service protocols and hygiene standards.
- Experience handling cash and operating POS systems is preferred.
- Professional demeanor, positive outlook, and the ability to work well within a team setting.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Additional certifications or training in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or Bartending are advantageous.
