About the Position
We are seeking a skilled Barista to join the team at one of our notable locations in Dublin, providing service at a subsidized high street style café exterior to a prominent secondary school. This school accommodates approximately 1500 students with about 300 daily customers for the retail food and beverage offer. This is a full-time permanent role with a work schedule of 40 hours per week and a competitive hourly wage of €14.15.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively within a team to craft high-quality barista coffee for staff and visitors.
- Maintain adherence to company food quality standards and minimize waste.
- Follow all Food Hygiene, Health & Safety regulations, and allergen control procedures meticulously.
- Ensure consistent stocking and rotation of retail merchandise.
- Prepare and set up the location each morning for daily operations.
- Process payments and manage cash handling correctly.
- Conduct daily inventory counts of available products.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Proven barista experience is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with an approachable, personable, and friendly demeanor.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English at a reasonable to good level.
- Experience in food preparation or customer service environments is advantageous.
- Team-oriented attitude with good humor and fun personality.
