About the Role
Compass Group Ireland is looking to hire a dedicated Barista & Catering Assistant for a full-time position based in Dublin. This role combines crafting expertly made beverages with preparing and serving a variety of fresh food items, all while providing outstanding customer service. The position requires working 37.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality, expertly blended drinks and serve fresh food items that meet customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and present hot and cold deli options including sandwiches, salads, and snacks.
- Set up, maintain, and ensure cleanliness and visual appeal of bar and deli counters.
- Deliver efficient and friendly customer service while handling cash and card payments responsibly.
- Manage inventory of clean dishware, mugs, and deli supplies.
- Acquire knowledge of brewing processes, beverage blends, and food presentation techniques.
- Conduct checks on brewing equipment functionality and report any maintenance requirements promptly.
- Adhere strictly to food hygiene, allergen controls, health and safety, and cleanliness protocols.
- Support team members as needed to maintain smooth daily operations.
Candidate Profile
- Excellent communication skills with an ease in building positive customer and team relationships.
- A positive mindset with enthusiasm for continual learning and self-improvement.
- Proven ability to collaborate well within a team environment.
- Previous experience in customer service, deli, or catering roles preferred but not mandatory.
- A motivated individual who consistently strives for high standards and quality.
- Confidence in using coffee brewing equipment and the ability to perform under pressure.
- Strong dependability, punctuality, and reliability.
- Proficient spoken English communication skills.
