Overview
This position requires working on site at Tommy Gun's Original Barbershop located in Burnaby, British Columbia. The barbershop environment is fast-paced and necessitates attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination. The role involves various hair cutting and styling tasks, customer appointment booking, and providing scalp treatments.
Languages
Fluency in English is required.
Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience
Applicants should have between two and three years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage appointment bookings.
- Cut and trim hair according to client preferences.
- Shampoo customers' hair.
- Shave and trim beards and mustaches.
- Provide hair treatments including waving, straightening, tinting, and scalp massages.
- Apply chemical treatments such as bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses for coloring or styling purposes.
- Perform cutting, trimming, tapering, curling, waving, perming, and styling of hair.
- Recommend hairstyles suitable to clients’ physical features and personal preferences.
