Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high quality and appealing presentation of bakery items including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Ensure the bakery department is thoroughly stocked and prepared for business operations.
• Verify that merchandise is accurately labeled with correct pricing and signage.
• Comply with cold chain policies including thermometer calibration, temperature documentation, food handling, product rotation, and monitoring sell-by and expiration dates.
• Uphold food safety, sanitation, and cleaning standards consistently.
• Follow proper procedures for ordering stock, managing clearance, markups/markdowns, and labeling.
• Prepare bakery products by adhering to specified thawing and baking instructions to preserve quality and appearance.
• Secure all displays in accordance with safety requirements.

Compensation

The starting pay rate for this position is $18.70 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
