The Role

We seek backend engineers to create the foundational systems powering BJAK's AI Neobank app. This role demands expertise in building scalable, dependable APIs, workflows, and financial product infrastructures to support markets, partners, and millions of users.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services, APIs, and workflows for the AI-driven Neobank application.
• Maintain and enhance products spanning insurance, payments, wallets, savings, investing, travel, and other financial services.
• Design robust systems managing user accounts, transactions, partner integrations, reconciliation processes, notifications, and operations.
• Collaborate with product and mobile teams to swiftly deliver user-facing experiences.
• Integrate with banks, payment gateways, insurers, data providers, and various partners.
• Enhance system reliability, observability, security, and overall performance.
• Build practical, auditable systems compliant with regulated financial product standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in backend engineering roles.
• Strong understanding of API development, database management, system design, and production troubleshooting.
• Experience crafting scalable services and integrating with third-party systems.
• Solid grasp of security principles, reliability concerns, data integrity, and operational edge cases.
• Adept at balancing speed, quality, and risk in development decisions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, mobile developers, operations teams, and business stakeholders.
• Background in fintech sectors such as payments, insurance, lending, banking, or regulated products is highly advantageous.
