Role Overview

Within Northern Trust's Global Threat Technology team, the Azure Automation Engineer will be tasked with delivering AI-powered engineering solutions, advancing cyber automation capabilities, and driving DevSecOps transformations in the Security Operations domain. This role also involves maintaining and securing Azure cloud infrastructure and ensuring alignment with governance protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy AI agents and intelligent automation tools.
• Automate cloud infrastructure including network, storage, computing resources, and monitoring setups.
• Execute scalable log ingestion and data pipeline architecture, managing migration and integration of diverse data sources for security platforms.
• Promote and adopt Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards using tools like Terraform and ARM Templates.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automatic deployment, testing, and management of cloud infrastructure.
• Provide mentorship and guidance on Azure best practices, cloud architecture, and IaC to junior team members.
• Establish and enforce robust Azure security standards, leveraging services such as Azure Security Center and Key Vault.

Qualifications and Experience

• Solid hands-on experience managing and designing Azure cloud infrastructures.
• Demonstrated ability in architecting and developing AI agent solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure services including Compute, Networking, Storage, Security, and Monitoring.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and ARM Templates.
• Experience in establishing CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Skills and Competencies

• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git, Ansible, and Docker.
