About the Role
We are seeking a proficient Automation Test Engineer with extensive expertise in Java, Selenium WebDriver, REST Assured, and API Testing to join our team in Bangalore or Chennai. This role involves building and sustaining automation frameworks to assure the quality and dependability of web applications through advanced testing techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, create, and run automated test scripts leveraging Selenium WebDriver integrated with Java.
- Build and maintain effective automation frameworks tailored for web-based applications.
- Execute API testing utilizing REST Assured and verify the integrity of RESTful services.
- Develop and maintain functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test scenarios.
- Review test outcomes, detect defects, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
- Embed automated tests within CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration.
- Engage closely with cross-disciplinary teams to comprehend business needs and ensure thorough test coverage.
- Compile detailed test documentation, quality metrics, and reports.
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum rituals and promote continuous process enhancements.
Qualifications and Essential Skills
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of industry experience in software testing with a focus on automation.
- Proficient in Java programming with solid hands-on exposure.
- Advanced skills in Selenium WebDriver for automation.
- Extensive experience in API testing employing REST Assured.
- Track record in designing and supporting automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with TestNG or JUnit testing frameworks and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Experience with Git source control and version management.
- Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- In-depth understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), software testing life cycle (STLC), and Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem resolution capabilities.
