Java Software Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer with 6 to 8 years in IT and a minimum of 5 years dedicated to Java backend development. The ideal candidate will display strong expertise in Java versions 8, 11, 17, and 21, alongside comprehensive knowledge of core programming concepts including Collections, Multithreading, Concurrency, Exception Handling, JVM internals, OOP principles, and design patterns.

Technical Expertise

• Proficient in Spring Framework ecosystem including Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
• Skilled in designing and implementing microservices architectures.
• Experienced in building and integrating REST APIs, with knowledge of related components like API Gateway, Service Discovery, and Configuration Management.
• Familiarity with SOAP web services is beneficial.
• Database hands-on experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or MQ.
• Understanding of event-driven architecture principles.

Additional Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with Apache Camel, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring solutions like Splunk, Grafana, or Geneos.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.

Recent Project and Domain Experience

• Proven background as Java Backend Developer, Senior Developer, or Technical Lead, especially within enterprise-scale applications and microservices implementations.
• Design and integration of RESTful APIs.
• Primary use of Spring Boot framework in development.
• Active involvement in architectural planning, code reviews, and continuous integration/delivery processes.
• Experience in domains like Banking, Payments, Financial Services, Digital Banking, or large-scale Enterprise Applications.

Leadership & Agile Practices

• Mentoring junior team members.
• Participation in Agile or Scrum project settings.
• Technical ownership and accountability of features and modules.
