As an Automation Equipment Technician, your expertise will be vital in maintaining and enhancing sophisticated automation machinery in our manufacturing setting. Collaborating closely with Shift Operations, Equipment Engineers, and equipment vendors, you will apply your strong technical acumen in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment optimization to guarantee operational reliability, foster ongoing improvements, and support automation efforts that boost productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and upkeep on automation assets including Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS), Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV).
• Conduct electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to identify and resolve faults in electro-mechanical equipment.
• Disassemble, adjust, fix, and reassemble equipment utilizing layout schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and calibration tasks to ensure equipment operates within required specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement designated equipment modifications.
• Track tool performance and uphold shift metrics for uptime and quality adherence.
• Prepare comprehensive shift reports and facilitate thorough communication during shift handovers.
• Drive Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) aimed at boosting equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Analyze equipment performance data to suggest advanced troubleshooting techniques and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area through disciplined housekeeping.
• Work closely with operations and engineering to quickly address and resolve production line challenges.

Additional Duties

• Support the integration of automation projects and assist with the implementation of new technological solutions.
• Participate in root cause investigations and apply corrective measures to prevent recurrent problems.
• Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations and Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies throughout all maintenance procedures.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, or automation-related disciplines.
• A practical, safety-conscious approach to work.
• Competency with basic PC and software tools for monitoring equipment and reporting.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support collaboration across functions.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-moving, shift-based industrial setting.
• Applications from fresh graduates are welcomed.
• Experience or interest in leveraging AI tools to improve productivity is advantageous.
