Role Overview

The Auto Body Detailer is responsible for pre-washing vehicles before production, detailing cars before final customer delivery, and maintaining a clean and organized workshop and parking area. This position supports the team in meeting repair facility KPIs and contributes to the overall customer experience and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Hand wash vehicle exteriors using brushes and washing equipment
• Polish and dry windshields, windows, lights, mats, and exterior body surfaces
• Buff and apply protective waxes to automobile exteriors
• Vacuum and shampoo interiors, apply air fresheners, and carry out light stain removal
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop by sweeping and regularly emptying trash containers
• Keep the parking lot clean, organized, and orderly at all times
• Power wash the shop floor when needed to minimize visible dirt
• Manage vehicle organization in the lot including keys, floor mats, and repair order signs
• Implement the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently to meet quality and productivity goals and support positive Net Promoter Scores (NPS)

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced, pressure-filled environment
• Physical capability including frequent bending, crouching, reaching, handling tools, and lifting over 50 pounds
• Valid driver’s license

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage ranging from $17.95 to $22.00, based on skill, education, and experience
