Position Overview

The Auto Body Detailer plays a vital role in preparing vehicles for production and final customer delivery by thoroughly cleaning and detailing. This role also encompasses maintaining cleanliness of the repair shop and organizing vehicles and materials to meet operational KPIs and quality standards under the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan, which contributes to shop efficiency and customer satisfaction measured by the Net Promoter Score.

Key Responsibilities

• Hand wash vehicle exteriors using brushes and washing equipment.
• Polish and clean windshields, windows, lights, mats, and vehicle bodywork.
• Apply waxes and buffs to protect and preserve vehicle exteriors.
• Vacuum, shampoo, deodorize, and clean vehicle interiors, including some stain removal as needed.
• Keep the repair shop tidy by sweeping and emptying trash containers daily.
• Ensure the parking area remains clean and orderly every day.
• Use power washing to maintain the appearance of the shop floor when necessary.
• Manage and organize vehicles in the lot, including handling keys, floor mats, and repair orders.
• Consistently follow the WOW plan to maintain high standards in quality and productivity.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School diploma or equivalent.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with accuracy in task execution.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced and pressured environment.

Physical and Other Requirements

• Frequent physical activities such as bending, crouching, reaching, operating tools, and lifting over 50 pounds.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license is required.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage ranging between 17.95 and 22 CAD, commensurate with experience, education, and skill level.
