We are inviting a meticulous Audit Senior to join our vibrant Auckland City team. This position entails examining financial statements to verify their accuracy and adherence to financial standards, reviewing accounting systems and control mechanisms, and proposing enhancements where needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of financial statements to ensure precision and regulatory compliance.
- Assess accounting systems and internal control procedures critically.
- Suggest improvements to accounting processes and controls for better efficiency.
- Maintain adherence to quality and risk management standards throughout audit processes.
- Lead audit projects by managing junior staff and overseeing audit progress.
- Prepare concise summaries of client business models and associated audit risks for team insight.
- Ensure all audit deadlines and schedules are strictly followed.
- Draft essential client-facing documents, including audit and board reports.
- Foster and sustain productive relationships with clients.
- Efficiently utilize audit software and related tools to support audit activities.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of four years experience in audit within a professional services environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
- Professional credentials such as CA or ACCA certification mandatory.
- Strong grasp of audit methodologies and accounting standards.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
