About the Role

Joining Walmart Canada as a Bakery Associate provides an excellent opportunity to enhance your retail skills. This role involves delivering outstanding customer service aligned with Walmart's core values, maintaining and organizing the bakery section, and supporting merchandise stocking and sales activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high quality and appealing presentation of bakery products including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Keep the bakery department fully stocked and prepared for customer service hours.
• Ensure all bakery items are accurately priced and labeled.
• Strictly follow cold chain compliance, including thermometer calibration, temperature logs, product rotation, and monitoring sell-by and expiration dates.
• Adhere to food safety practices and sanitation protocols.
• Manage ordering processes, clearances, price adjustments, and correct labeling procedures.
• Prepare bakery products by carefully following thawing and baking instructions to maintain quality standards.
• Secure all bakery displays safely and properly.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $19.05.

Minimum Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.
