Associate - Quality Analysis

Overview

This role focuses on assuring that products and systems meet stringent quality standards through thorough testing and quality control procedures. The associate will conduct inspections, validate functionalities, identify and document defects, and work closely with diverse teams to address quality issues promptly.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct systematic inspections and execute comprehensive test cases to guarantee product and system performance.
• Record and monitor defects meticulously, ensuring they are resolved correctly.
• Contribute to the development and upkeep of quality control processes and documentation.
• Collaborate with various teams to efficiently solve quality-related problems.
• Carry out verification and regression testing to confirm that issues have been fixed.
• Maintain detailed logs of testing outcomes, defect records, and quality metrics.
• Support enhancements in testing methodologies and quality assurance protocols.
• Ensure alignment with organizational policies and industry standards.
• Engage in continuous improvement efforts aimed at boosting product quality and operational efficiency.
• Participate in reviewing requirements to ensure clarity and testability.
• Provide timely reports on quality status and feedback to relevant stakeholders.

Technical Skills and Experience

• Minimum of one year experience in software testing or related discipline.
• Proficient in designing and executing manual test cases and scenarios.
• Familiarity with bug tracking systems such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
• Experience with multiple testing types including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
• API testing expertise using tools like Postman or REST clients.
• Basic SQL skills for database verification and query execution.
• Foundational knowledge in automation testing.
• Use of test management tools such as Zephyr.
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Capability to perform cross-browser, cross-platform, and mobile testing on different operating systems and devices.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
