About the Role
Nua Healthcare Services, a prominent care provider in Ireland, offers residential, supported living, day services, and community outreach for children and adults with complex needs. We are currently seeking compassionate and motivated Assistant Support Workers to join our team at the Little Island, County Cork location. Our organization is well-regarded for combining modern facilities with supportive community programs aimed at empowering individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist individuals in planning and managing their daily activities and routines.
- Provide support for participation and access to local community activities.
- Help individuals with education, skills development, and personal goal achievement.
- Support development and maintenance of independent living skills such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, attending appointments, and nurturing social and family connections.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, regulations, and codes of practice to ensure high-quality care.
- Work flexible shift patterns over a 24-hour, 7-day schedule to meet the needs of those supported.
Candidate Requirements
- No formal qualifications necessary; comprehensive training and continuous development will be given.
- Prior experience in support roles or relevant life experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and sincere dedication to supporting individuals’ independence and fulfillment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with clients, families, colleagues, and professionals.
- A full driving license is mandatory, or candidates must be progressing towards acquiring one.
- Flexibility and dependability to work various shifts aligned with service demands.

Compensation
The frontline salary range offered for this position is between €25,000 and €30,000 annually.
