Job description

Position Objective

Support the smooth running of store operations and provide an excellent customer experience. Assist the Store Manager with managerial responsibilities and take charge during their absence. Oversee daily store functions, manage staff, achieve sales goals, and uphold high customer satisfaction standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a customer-centric approach at all times and champion excellent service standards.
  • Lead by example in delivering top-tier customer care.
  • Drive efforts to meet or surpass sales targets.
  • Ensure the team understands sales KPIs and goals.
  • Manage promotional activities and ensure effective implementation in the store.
  • Develop and execute methods to boost in-store sales.
  • Conduct periodic audits of store administrative processes and address any concerns.
  • Adopt administrative changes efficiently and positively within the store.
  • Work alongside the Store Manager to set and achieve sales objectives.
  • Track sales figures and analyze critical performance metrics.
  • Oversee sales strategies to optimize revenue and align with business aims.
  • Manage inventory control and merchandising to maintain product availability.
  • Ensure accurate stock through regular reviews and timely replenishment.
  • Maintain store layout and presentation according to brand guidelines.
  • Manage stock packaging and ensure sufficient inventory to maximize sales opportunity.
  • Uphold high visual merchandising standards and ensure staff compliance.
  • Communicate stock or store layout updates promptly to the team.
  • Enforce adherence to retail standards among staff.
  • Supervise back-store operations and merchandise restocking.
  • Schedule sales associates' work hours, vacations, and days off effectively.
  • Address employee complaints, provide feedback, and counsel as necessary.
  • Foster full engagement of sales personnel in setting store goals and planning.
  • Ensure staff uphold company image in dress and personal presentation according to policy.
  • Manage staff leave records diligently.
  • Enforce security protocols to protect stock and cash, maintaining strong security awareness.
  • Implement corrective and disciplinary actions when needed.
  • Exemplify reliability, punctuality, and confidentiality regarding employee information.
  • Demonstrate utmost integrity and ethical judgment in all decisions.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have more than three years of growing experience in a customer-focused role complemented by robust management, leadership, and problem-resolution skills. Proven ability in boosting customer engagement and exceeding store sales targets is essential. A bachelor's degree in business administration, retail management, or related discipline is preferred.
