Role Overview

The Assistant Store Manager will play a key role in leading the team and enhancing the Harris Scarfe retail experience by fostering a friendly and inviting store atmosphere while meeting sales, customer service, and team culture objectives.

• Support the Store Manager in overseeing all operational areas of the store
• Exemplify high standards in customer service, safety compliance, and visual presentation
• Provide training, coaching, and support to develop team member skills and boost confidence
• Manage stock control, merchandising activities, and adherence to compliance protocols
• Drive strong performance across different departments
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences with every interaction

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in retail or hospitality settings
• A people-focused approach with strong coaching and team-building capabilities
• Effective communication skills combined with a calm and solution-oriented demeanor
• Competence in visual merchandising and maintaining store aesthetics
• Highly organized, efficient, and proficient in administrative and IT tasks
• Availability to work weekends and holding full legal work rights in Australia
