Role Overview

As the Assistant Store Manager, you will play a vital leadership role in overseeing daily store operations, boosting sales, and fostering a motivated team. You'll collaborate closely with the Store Manager to manage a multi-million-dollar retail business, ensuring an efficient and exceptional shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop future store leaders by providing comprehensive training and coaching to team members.
• Maintain exemplary standards of store presentation, safety, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, monitor stock levels, and minimize product losses.
• Participate in frontline activities such as operating registers, restocking shelves, and merchandising special buy items.
• Continuously seek and implement improvements to enhance store performance.
• Ensure seamless store operations, contributing to high customer satisfaction levels.
• Lead the store independently in the absence of the Store Manager.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven leadership experience, ideally in customer service or retail environments.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively motivate staff and engage customers.
• Strong ability and enthusiasm for coaching and encouraging team performance.
• Competency in supporting store goals and achieving business results alongside the Store Manager.
• Professional demeanor and sound judgment in all workplace situations.
• Capacity to work autonomously while ensuring compliance with ALDI’s policies and procedures.
