Role Summary

We are looking for an Assistant Store Leader (Assistant Manager) to join our management team in Cranbrook, British Columbia. This full-time position offers an opportunity to grow, lead, and gain valuable leadership experience with a competitive hourly wage ranging between $18.00 and $24.25.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with overseeing customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees alongside the Store Leader.
• Contribute to hiring qualified candidates, developing leaders, empowering staff, and driving employee productivity to maintain high retention rates.
• Support the execution of merchandising and marketing initiatives within the store.
• Handle cash and fuel transactions accurately while promoting the store's loyalty program.
• Ensure the store remains clean, safe, and compliant with health and sanitation standards, keeping products well-stocked and the environment presentable.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in management or supervisory roles, preferably in retail.
• Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Proficient with computer applications, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; however, candidates with at least one year of retail management experience may also be considered without this credential.
• Valid driver's license and automotive liability insurance as required by provincial regulations.
• Physical ability to multitask, including standing, bending, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
