Job Role Overview
As an Assistant Restaurant Manager reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in the efficient management of the Restaurant and Meetings & Events (M&E) services within the hotel. Your responsibilities will include leading the team to meet departmental objectives, managing budgets, and supporting recruitment and employee development.
Responsibilities
- Support the Operations Manager in overseeing the Restaurant and M&E departments, ensuring all strategies and goals are successfully executed.
- Lead and inspire the restaurant team through recruitment, retention, and professional growth initiatives.
- Establish team targets aligned with the wider hotel and departmental goals.
- Oversee departmental budgeting to maintain cost-effectiveness and financial performance.
Requirements
- A minimum of one year experience in a restaurant management role within a 3 or 4 star hotel is essential.
- Strong leadership capabilities with proven experience in hiring and staff development.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
- A customer-focused approach with the ability to maintain composure under pressure and multitask efficiently.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage service and preparation.
- Fluency in English along with outstanding communication skills.
- Experience with Micros point of sale systems is preferred.
