Job Summary

The Assistant Project and Program Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of multiple projects spanning various functional teams while effectively managing the needs and expectations of diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning by collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop straightforward business cases and independently compile comprehensive project plans using appropriate planning software.
• Identify and document stakeholders, engage consistently to understand their requirements, proactively address their feedback, and escalate complex issues only when necessary.
• Determine suitable communication levels and channels for projects or programs, ensuring consistent messaging using standardized tools and templates with minimal revisions.
• Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues relative to project complexity; proactively develop mitigation strategies to reduce exposure.
• Oversee project and program delivery across multiple departments to ensure objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
• Create resource and cost estimates, monitor expenditures against budgets, and manage plan adjustments; collaborate in resolving issues involving external vendors or contractors.
• For customer care-focused roles, manage complex deployments that involve multi-site and regional coordination, prepare detailed schedules with clear milestones, and engage cross-functional teams accountable for respective deliverables.
• Maintain foundational technical expertise in all Equinix products and processes to resolve challenges independently, escalating executive-level concerns as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of professional experience in project or program management.
• Educational background ranging from Diploma to Bachelor's degree level.
• Certification as a Prince2 Practitioner is advantageous.
