Key Responsibilities

As an Assistant Manager, you will support the daily operations of a single Panda Express store. This role involves recruiting, managing, and guiding team members to reach financial targets and deliver outstanding customer experiences. Your leadership is crucial in driving the store towards success. To prepare you, a comprehensive store leadership training program lasting at least three weeks will be provided.

Desired Qualifications

• High school diploma is mandatory
• Willingness to relocate to another store location within a 50-mile radius if required
• Availability to work varied schedules including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business demands
• Serving Safe certification demonstrating knowledge of food safety practices

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

The role requires working in hot kitchens with exposure to steam and food vapors. Employees typically stand for long durations and must handle kitchen equipment such as Chinese cook knives. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing up to four hours consecutively, and reaching across counters approximately 36 inches high. The environment is fast-paced, noisy, and with restricted workspace. Effective verbal communication, adaptability to shifting priorities, and conflict management skills are essential.
