Position Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager who thrives on creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. Your role will involve inspiring your team to consistently deliver exceptional customer experiences and meet the demands of a fast-moving retail setting. This role involves multifaceted responsibilities that keep the work engaging and impactful.

What You Will Do

• Support overall store performance by managing sales goals, controlling expenses, and overseeing daily operations such as merchandising, backroom tasks, frontline activities, cash office, customer service, markdown processing, scheduling, shipping, and receiving.
• Focus on minimizing shrinkage and damages through effective operational controls.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor Associates by providing thorough training and ongoing guidance to build a motivated and skillful team.
• Implement company initiatives, action plans, and changes, contributing ideas towards succession planning and organizational needs.
• Drive strategies to achieve sales, expense, and customer service objectives while coordinating loss prevention and improving store layout and operational efficiency.

Desired Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in retail leadership roles such as Assistant or Store Manager.
• Proven leadership ability to manage and empower a sizeable team with strong mentorship capabilities.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to influence and provide constructive feedback.
• Comprehensive knowledge of store operations involving customer service excellence, merchandising, health and safety compliance, people management, and loss prevention.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through to ensure successful execution of tasks and initiatives.

Location and Salary

This role is based at our Homesense location at 4115 Walker Rd, Windsor, Ontario.

The anticipated salary range is CAD $48,592.50 to $68,029.50 per year, with final offers potentially exceeding this range based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
