Role Overview
Our Wellington Audit team invites applications for an experienced Assistant Manager with 3 to 4 years of hands-on audit and assurance experience within a Chartered Accounting environment. Candidates typically hold a professional qualification such as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or its equivalent. This role offers exposure to a diverse client base across multiple industries within New Zealand’s corporate, private, and public sectors, alongside opportunities to contribute on national projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Present audit findings and provide actionable recommendations to clients.
- Review and assess reports, written advice, memorandums, and related deliverables for quality and accuracy.
- Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to recommend solutions shaping client business strategies.
- Comprehend complex audit and risk advisory challenges, tailoring solutions to stakeholder requirements.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, teams, and individuals through effective communication and influence.
- Deliver exceptional client service, fostering collaboration across regional and international teams.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3 to 4 years’ auditing experience within a corporate Chartered Accounting setting.
- Strong familiarity with IFRS and International/New Zealand accounting standards.
- Excellent analytical and numerical proficiency paired with solid Excel capabilities.
- Demonstrated project management expertise.
- Ability to operate autonomously and collaboratively within team environments.
- Well-developed research and problem-solving skills enhancing audit quality.
