About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Director to join our leading M&A Transaction Services team located in Sydney. This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with Australia's largest corporate and private equity clients across diverse industries, supporting high-value and complex corporate transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute intricate transaction deals, gaining significant due diligence and commercial insights.
- Collaborate with global colleagues on cross-border M&A activities, expanding market exposure and understanding.
- Conduct comprehensive business analyses including historical trading, cash flows, and forecasts to identify client opportunities and risks.
- Provide insightful reporting and advice to clients using advanced M&A Data Analytics and Generative AI tools, helping shape strategic investment decisions.
- Enhance personal and team capabilities in analytics and financial modeling through continuous learning, secondments, and coaching.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, advisors, and deal counterparties for sustained business growth.
- Mentor and coach junior team members fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Team Overview
The M&A Transaction Services team partners across the deal lifecycle to deliver due diligence, financial analytics, IPO and capital market insights, bid defense, accounting advice, and contract reviews. Leveraging cutting-edge data analytics platforms and multidisciplinary expertise, the team serves private and listed corporates, global enterprises, and private equity firms across the Asia Pacific region.
Candidate Profile
- Postgraduate qualifications such as CA, CPA, or a Master's in Applied Finance are preferred.
- At least 7 years of relevant professional services experience, ideally within Audit and Transaction Services at a Big 4 firm.
- Strong grasp of accounting principles and concepts relevant to financial transaction environments.
- Excellent structured thinking and attention to detail to support complex financial analyses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analytics or visualization software.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to cultivate robust business relationships.
